Some american muscle in Germany. Nice video to play LOUD! http://videos.streetfire.net/video/ZR1-Nurburgring-Official_170754.htm
That was a big time ride!! I know i wont ever get to drive one, but i feel alot better knowing that is as great of a car as it is advertised....could you imagin, going airborne, taking sweepers at 120mph, and flat ass hauling at 180 mph......WOW. Thanks for sharing!! and it is just a chevy...go figure.
I love this track. I can't believe how accurate the old "Grand Prix Legends" PC game is to the real thing. Anybody play this game? You can actually learn this course by playing the game. It's really a great thing if you're into old racing courses. He is doing 175+ at the end of the straight (near the end) while passing under the bridge to the left. I can't tell you how many times I lost it here in the game... you gotta have stones of brass to do this for real. He kinda saws at the wheel to get through... Just before the second "mini" Carousell he gets really sideways and raises his right hand thinking he blew the lap. One of my bucket list items is to travel to Germany and drive this baby in a Porsche. Thanks for the link.
I understand there is a chick, I use that term with utter respect , who can take you for a lap around the track that will have your brass ones screaming for mercy, or more:laugh: That bowtie is very nicely put together:beer
The driver is a guy named John Henriccy (nowhere close on spelling) and he is the GM handling guru. He is considered among the best drivers in the world.
That would be Sabine Schmitz :3gears: I really would like to see her driving that ZR1 on the Ring <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/mNemK-xKfZY&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/mNemK-xKfZY&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> She also appeared on a few episodes of TopGear :TU: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/IIphlU0IfqQ&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/IIphlU0IfqQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Here she is racing The Stig: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q1p0Gg9uLBw&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Q1p0Gg9uLBw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> And check out what she can do with a Ford Transit Van: Part I <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1dcw7MqsGbE&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1dcw7MqsGbE&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Part II <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lvc5rDc4Fc0&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lvc5rDc4Fc0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Two things. 1) He really needed an auto with the paddle shifter on the steering wheel. 2) I would love to shift into 6th at 174mph.
Thanks Eric, that was very cool. "Don't think of it as loosing, think of it as being beat by a girl."
Imagine the hole through one of the hedges that a boattail would make! (no wait, you can't go through a hedge anymore, can you?) Check out 4:12 to the end... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8ZJ2zW9poI I can see it now. 7:26.3... a new record for the GS!!!
Here she is racing The Stig: wth? the Stig had to take that first corner 5 miles wide to make it 'look' like a competition. doesn't bode well for the veracity of the rest of what got filmed. i guess that goes with the general theme of practically never letting any of the hosts win in their gimmick 'races'. the thing that pisses me off is that i really would like to see Stig and Sabine go head to head in equivalent cars in a real race.
