Have you done anything to stiffen the frame? WHats your rear suspension look like? What rear tires are you running at the track?

Thats pretty darn good. The Riv runs 9 flat in the 1/8 and on days with really bad air the striped down Regal goes low 8's

Well, i fee like all my hard work finally paid off last night. I recently added a two-step and a shift light and decided to go test them yesterday at Barona drag strip. Let me first start by saying...it was HOT. Racing started at 4pm and it was 97* outside and HUMID. I looked at the projected DA for today's high of 89 and its 4000ft so i know it was higher yesterday! Anyway, the two step testing was interesting. I have it hooked to a button on my shifter handle and i kept forgetting to release the button when i would launch so id bang off the two step the first 60-100ft until i realized why i wasn't going any faster. After three passes in the heat my best time was an 8.3 and i decided to call it quits because i was literally sweating into my eyes plus my girlfriend and daughter were out in the hot sun in the stands so we all went into town for some dinner and a/c. Came back and finally got a hit after dark and everything went right...had a great burnout, air was "cooler", and the key was i let off the two step immediately and wow it felt like i was in a rocket. Anyway, i feel like i cant get much better on the 60ft with the stock suspension. i had my tire pressure at 20 for the last run so i think i might be able to take a few more psi out but other than that...i think its time to start upping the boost.

Wanna get a really good launch and solve the forgetting to let off the button issue install a Trans brake in there and hook them together on one button.

What did the hit after dark net you?
    And it sounds like fun!

I can personally say the best 60 you will probably be able to get down to with slicks even is about 1.70.
Looking at a 9" and some rework of rear suspension myself...

The best time was the one after dark, but i think it was more a function of me remembering to release the two-step than conditions. I'll be happy if my 60s are in the 1.7s consistently...ill just add more to go faster. lol.

Cool Re: Fastest boats down the track..

Went to the track a few weeks ago in my boat and ripped off a 13.91@99 MPH. Sat heavy on the scale at exactly 5,000 lbs. It's a 1973 LeSabre with a 455 that has a lot of stuff done to it. Headers into full exhaust (that's why you can barely hear it). As a bonus, it was "Buick day" and only one other Buick wanted to race me. We did a best of 3 shootout and I won my first racing trophy! I am embedding the video of my best pass, the 13.91@99. Then links to the 3 shootout videos at the end and our proud family photo.
    Video:

    Shootout - I dialed a 13.95 for all 3 races.
1st race, other guy redlights the launch

2nd race, I spun the tires off launch
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RitAVx-oc9Q

3rd race - we both did things right, and at the end it was so close neither of us knew who won until we picked up the timeslips on the way back!
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BS4qeyj3dM

And our proud family moment in the winners circle! That's myself in the middle and bobc455 on the right. (this is the car with Bob's EFI motor in it)

Curious if anyone keeps track of the fastest heavy cars? I'm sure I'd do well in that category!
