    Default will they work?

Jamie, I have a 77 odd fire V6 and an 85 turbo V6. Will the starters work on these 2 engines?

I had real problems with my 37 Buick with 455 power. the starter gave me fits as the battery was in the trunk, and it woul;d not start hot. I installed one of jamie's starters, and I was able to put the timing back where it belonged, and it starts like someone stole the spark plugs!

    Thanx Jamie

I'm sure this has been addressed somewhere but do the mounting bolts come with the starter or do I have to buy separately? If separate, are they a standard thread type that I could size up at a hardware store?

The bolts come with the starter. They have to, because they are shorter than stock. You need to use them to mount the mini starter, stock bolts won't work. I am very satisfied with the starter I got from Jamie. The car starts instantly no matter how hot it is.

    Default Hey Larry...

Good to hear it performs well. Mine is still in the box (and has been for a couple years), just waiting to go on my car. Um, if my car ever gets done.

    Exclamation bolts come with

you have to use the bolts i supply with the starter.they have knurling on the shafts to eliminate any play and they are shorter.if you use hardware store bolts, the housing can move slightly and you get that wonderfull chevy grinding/zinging noise

    Default Sent an E-mail...

    Hello Jamie,

I sent an E-mail off to you this morning about the mini-starter.

I am also wondering about the high ouput alternators. Can you send me some information on those?

    Thanks for the service.

Too bad I don't still have my spare B4B. I originally thought I was going to use it on my motor until I bought a head/intake (SP1) combo. I realized that I wouldn't end up using it, so I sold it last year. Once I have a motor on a stand, I'm going to be buying one of your starters.
