    Default Lt. Theo Kojak's Buick

The other weekend I came across this Buick on an American car meeting in Austria:

Theo's episodes deserve a re-run here. Last time seen here is about 10 or even 15 years ago (first year of RTL4)

I was just thinking about that, RTL4 and Kojak was in 1989.

    Rob,

I just ordered the first series of Kojak on 6 DVD's for you
Consider it as a little appreciation for the fact that you were helping me out with that spare drive shaft last week

(If you don't mind: I will watch the DVD's before I hand them over to you.... )

There were several Buicks used in the series (one of them was a brown '74 455).

The owner of that Austrian Buick sure was a good laugh.
He showed me a police badge that was laying around on the dash cover:

"Original badge of Theo Kojak, bought it on an auction at Universal Studios....."
    I went: "Really ????"
    "No....... !!"

After that he picked up the hat from the windshield:

"Official hat of Lt.Theo Kojak, I had it tested at a laboratory and there still is some of his DNA left inside....."
    "Really ????"
    "No....... !!"

Anyway, I liked the whole Kojak theme, he really stood out from all the others with just a (otherwise, more or less, boring) 4 drs A-body

According to this Frenchman, Kojak drove a 1968 Buick:
