Thumbs up Re: Weight Loss Table

Dave, this table thing is a GREAT idea!

ATTN MOD: Can we get this stickied? And have the table at the top of the thread like Dave was talking about?

Should add a column "weight saved". It would make it easier to total.

    Just a thought.

This is a great thread! One of the long-term goals for my car is to loose as much needless weight as possible without sacrificing anything. For example, when I have the car painted, I will be using fiberglass hood, fenders, and trucklid. Tubular A-arms is another good idea. I really want to get rid of that stock trans cross member. That thing is heavy! I'd like to replace it with a chrome-moly tublar crossmember with a driveshaft loop built in.

weight savings? I did not weight it before installing it, but I put in a Chevelle transmission crossmember that seemed to weigh less and connected to the frame more surcurely (sp).

It was cheeper than making an after market one (E-bay item).

Thanks Gary I will add it in a day or two.
What I tried to do was delete the original table and replace it with an updated and renamed version at post one of this thread but it did not work.
Until I figure out how to do this the last table posted will be the most current. Additionally at post one I will say the table location such as post 40

Dose anyone make fiberglass parts for 69 skylarks? I know you can get bumpers and possibly decklids but can you get anything else? Thanks Gary

I didn't know about the crossmember from Finishline. I guess I'll be calling them tomorrow Oh another weight saver....was me Since the last week of October I dropped 22 pounds and still have another 8-10 to go. Should be there by opening day at the track. Went from a 38+ waist to a 33.

Lets see 15 pounds on the crossmember and 30 from me, I'll take it
