    Default Rover Valve Covers

Will Rover aluminum valve covers for a 215 fit a 300" engine?

    Thanks

Depends what you want, as there have been quite a few variations so lots of style choices.

The big can is a flame arrestor for the vent line to the air cleaner. It's stuffed with copper wool. Most had a bright red or yellow filler cap which is usually cracked. The plastic can be broken off. The fittings use o-rings for positive sealing.

The British used a different PCV system. Most sets will have a pressed in orifice with about a .030" hole used to feed fresh air into the block and vacuum is applied to the large can. That system works well but needs a slightly different calibration for the carb. There's a thread on here somewhere comparing the systems. To retain the US system you can probably remove the bleed and drill and tap the cover for a pcv valve, if the boss is large enough, or locate it somewhere else if it is not. The big can should be on the opposite cover. If you don't use the big can you will need an adapter fitting and one of those filters that go inside the air cleaner housing to act as a flame arrestor. (open breathers leave an oily residue on the valvecover, etc.)

TR8 covers will fit, Any V8 landrover and Range Rover all the way up to the 4,6 engine, except the very late ones, which either use a Ford V8 Modular engine or a Jaguar version.
I beleive you also got the Rover P6 which has the same 215, but, IMO much nicer looking covers.
Atmo V8 Power . No slicks , No gas + No bits missing . Doing it in style
