My friend/co-worker Mike has been in intensive care the last two weeks.I should have put him in here sooner but honestly forgot about this section.He is 49 years old,has fought cancer 3 times,had a heart attack two weeks ago and now is fighting for his life because of some infection in his lungs they cannot get under control.He has been in an induced "coma" state for the last two weeks to keep him stable but his O2 saturation in his blood is very low and they cannot get it to come up.Today they take him off the ventilator as the doctors say they have done all they can.We are praying that he keeps breathing on his own as right now the healing power of the Lord is what he needs.Anything is appreciated.thanks,Richie

In less than an hour they pull him off the breathing machine.What is sad is there is nothing wrong with his brain,his heart has recovered as much as possible to where it is pumping good,vitals are good but they just cannot get his lungs cleared up to take in the oxygen.I am praying for a miracle but understand that whatever happens is God's will...........

Mike passed away this morning about a half hour after they took him off the ventilator.His wife said he went peacefully.Thanks to those of you who prayed.Now if you could just pray for his family to get past this.He had a long battle but hopefully is finally at peace.

Faith is stronger now than ever. Hard to describe but this has affected me more in a positve way than negative. Made me see a lot of other things I need to " rearrainge". Thanks for your prayers.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, but am glad that you are able to use this in a positive way. All too many people get bitter and angry at times like this. You will be able to help his family in this trying time even more.
