    Default SP400 Nailhead trans for 70 TH400

There are a buick 1966 switch pitch sp400 (nailhead round bellhousing) short shaft transmission for sale near by where i live.
    I have a 1970 "OB" coded TH400 transmission from a oldsmobile.
Will the "switch pitch" parts fit my transmission ?
What parts do i have to change over ?

The front pump, and input shaft, and associated wiring, the converter of course, and there is a plug that goes into one of the holes in the case.

    Thanks !
The owner will sell the complete transmission for 1700 usd, (it is in good condition, rebuilt some years ago). He will install the parts in my excisting trans included in the price.
I already have a rebuilt TH400 transmission ready to install in my car, so it may be to expencive for me.
I would sure like to have a SW trans, sounds like the best of both worlds.

I guess a SW trans is "hard to get" parts ? Have never seen one for sale in Norway before.
Mybe a 9,5" converter from Jim Weise would be a alernative ?

If you intend to put this transmission behind a modified BBB (with a cam), I'd go with a converter built for your engine. I've heard good things about Jim's converters.
