Default Candy Tangerine from House of Kolor touch up question

After a 2 year search I bought myself a new toy, a 1964 Riviera painted Candy Tangerine from House of Kolors. Now there a 2 spots on the hood where the paint is damaged (chipped). Iíve tried to figure out how to get this fixed but Iíve been told that touching up this paint isnít easy. Not many people around here using this paint so information is hard to get.
Anyone familiar with this paint and having some good tips how to fix these spots?

Candies are almost impossible to touch up as the color is transparent over a metallic base, every coat changes the color plus candy paint is not very UV resistant and fades so even if you knew how many coats were on it after two years it wouldn't match anyway. I have shot my fair share of candy paint including the mailbox in front of my house! The depth of color you get is amazing but they are a pain.

Chips or a wrecked car that is painted with a candy color = complete repaint to match.

I've seen entire panels done to match the candy on the rest of a car, but even that is tough when the same painter is repainting the panel using notes he kept from when the job was done the first time around (gun settings, pressure, viscosity, temp, humidity, number of tint coats, etc).

Spot repairs? Never seen it done well due to the darkening of each clear coat as was already mentioned.

Hmmm, thanks for the replies, although it's not what I wanted (hoped for) to hear . Never thought it would be this difficult .

Sounds to me that I have to learn to live with the chips.

Better hope they don't damage the car during transport. The car is still in Houston, waiting to get loaded into a container to get shipped over to Europe. Thinks I also better call my insurance to raise the amount. If they really scratch it I got to have the whole car repainted incl. the pinstriping and so on. Hmmmm, better cross my fingers and burn a candle.
