    Cool Please help me win.

    Howdy all

I'm asking for my fellow Buick owners out here to help me out.

Another forum that I am on has put me in the running to be "Ride of the Month".

Please go to this link (below) and vote each day for my 1970 Buick GSX to become the "RotM".

    http://www.goldeagle.com/event_marke...desonline.aspx

Look at the left side for the voting section, I'm the 5th vehicle down, the 1970 Buick GSX.

The contest is being put on by coolridesonline.net and Gold Eagle.

Please help me get a Buick (mine ) voted in as the Ride of the Month.

Please remember to go back and vote each day.

    Thanks Everyone

    David

Is "tribute" a fancy word for "clone" ?

Ya I guess you could call it that, a fancy word for a clone.

I don't hide that it is a tribute/clone/ex., I let folks know as you can see by the wording by my advatar.

I call it a tribute car because it was made from a real GSX doner,
but most of her parts still live on in my car,
I look at it as being real close to the real thing, without being the real thing.

I wont lie either, it was a heck of a lot cheaper to buy it this way over buying a real GSX that looks as good as mine does.

Thanks for the vote, I know we are only a few days in, so if you could keep voting I would appreciate it.

Lets get a Buick to be the Ride of the Month and show them Buicks do it with Class

    Thanks again

    David,

I was only wondering about the word tribute, I think it sounds much nicer than clone
Of course I will keep voting for your car, it's only a few clicks a day

In my screenshot above, the Impala was at 43.94%, your Buick was at 25.76%

And now, only 7 hours later, this is the score:
(See the quote in the next post, there's no need to post that screenshot twice)

What the hell is that Mitsubishi doing in there? The ironhead is cool, but I'd be more impressed if it was older. I was REALLY tempted to vote for that Impala over you, it's nice..., but brand loyalty won out in the end.

When I try to vote again, it says: "You can vote again tomorrow!"

But.....it is already tomorrow here: Tuesday September 4th, 7:56 AM
Maybe it works with "24 hrs cookies" ?
So I have to wait two more hours.

    David,

The Chebby isn't catching up, the Oldsmobile is catching up.
    It's 100% divided by 5 competitors.

No offense, but the Chevy guy probably deserves to win more. I was looking at his page, and he did a TON of work to that car. Complete frame off restoration, custom interior, custom paint... It's absolutely beautiful. He did some serious work to that car. That being said, I voted for your car yet again, because it is also beautiful, even though it killed me a little inside.I'm sure the Impala guy's won plenty of awards too, so it's not like I'm robbing him of his life's dream.
