    Default 70 GS 455 convertible

Anybody know this car? It's only a half hour away and i've never seen this car before. I was thinking of checking it out but thinking it's alittle over priced. Any thoughts.

It's WAY overpriced (like at least 20K), and the seller has crappy FB. There is not 1 pic of the car with the top up, I can fairly guarantee you the car needs a top. Every convertible I've ever looked at to buy needs a top. You can't leave the top down in the showroom like that for months, it will wreck the top, pinch it, wrinkle it...they will never come out. So...add 1,000-1,500 to the price for starters. Or deduct it...whatever.

Don't forget to add HST to the price. That's a killer at 13%.

I was talking to the guy and he purchased the car in 2011 at Barrett Jackson. I wonder if you can look up what it sold for then. I haven't seen a buick go across the block for that much in a while.

Hammer dropped at $55k, plus commission of $5,500 = $60,500

No, you are not alone. If it sold at BJ then why is it still for sale on Ebay? Could be this is this the buyer looking to flip it, but, my guess is that the BJ price was just more of the auction games (shill bidding by the owner and a buddy) to get the price up to their ask in lieu of being able to put a reserve on it. It would not be the first time a seller has bought his own car.

It sold at BJ over a year ago, the new owner probably had his fun with it and is ready to move on and try to make a little money. Not that strange. My old 69 stage 1 convert was sold at BJ to a dealer, who then brought it back the next year and sold it again for more money. Both were legit sales, not that uncommon at all.

Probably not twice what it is worth, but the buyer seemed to have paid a premium. BUT, it is a low mile car in a desirable color.
