Default New guy from Oregon with 1972 Skylark

I own a 1972 Skylark that my grandfather purchased new then when he retired from driving from age he sold it to my other grandparents where it serviced them until their age related driving stopped. My grandmother handed it down to me for the next generation. I did a mild restoration on it back in 2003 and have done many upgrades. Currently I've retired the VERY tired 350 and decide to go with a LS series power plant motor and trans. Sorry for the purists out there who are crying over that, but I figured since this car isn't leaving the family I would bring it up to more modern standards and comfort. Plus the power and fuel economy. Anyways I'm close to finishing the swap/conversion and excited for the Buick to last another 40+ years of family memories.

Are you going with a manual or LS compatible automatic?

That's a nice looking 72 Skylark! Congrats to you and your family for keeping it that way all these years. Great to hear of the connection through the family and all the love.
Good luck with the engine swap; let us know how that turns out and any major lessons learned. Hope to see you at events here in the PNW.
