    Default 290 hydraulic roller specs

What are the specs for the new 290 equivalent hydraulic roller cam? A local friend (S. Tenn.) has one but was unsure of the particulars.

Scott, you mean the 290H roller equivalent? When Jim Weise built my first motor, the one he tested 3 cams in, he also tested a roller version of the 290H (238/238, 112). That Dyno session is why he took my motor apart because the motor lost about 40 HP. That is when he found that #4 main web problem. Jim might be able to tell you what you need to know about that roller cam.

TA 290RH, .363"-238', .363"-238'. Advertised duration is 290'. We can grind on what ever lobe separation you would like. Another cam we have ground in the past for a few customers is the TA294RH. .360"-238', .360"-238' this cam has an advertised duration of 294'. The lift I am showing here is lobe lift, multiply that number be your rocker ratio to get valve lift. .360x1.6=.576"

Can you use non-valve notched (standard dished) pistons with either of those?
