Default Time for a it introduction in Michigan

I've been a member for a while now just never had a reason to post till now

I live in Muskegon MI and have a 64 skylark built it a few years back and it's time for a few changes

I have had the car for around 18 years and till 5 years ago never did anything with it ..... I also have a backhalf Montecarlo ss and was in need of something to street drive with the kids and better half also wanted to go on hot rod power tour so in 3 months I built the car just for that

Now it's time for a drag week cars so I'm doing a few updates and I'll be trying to make drag week 2018

I'm looking at a bottom 11 high 10 sec street car so nothing crazy anyways I may post some stuff up now and than I'll upload a picture if I can find one

Thank You. Mine is a '67 with an NA 464" Buick. And the pics flatter it.

They actually live closer to a northern suburb of Hesperia called Walkerville.

    Welcome from SE Michigan!

What engine platform are you thinking of using to get into the low 11s to high 10s?

With a '64 skylark it sure would be cool if you did it with the sbb 300 engine! Stuff a sbb 350 crank in there with the stroke brought out to 3.990" a set of nascar take out rods and a set of AutoTec pistons could get you to 370 cubes. Topped off with a set of ported TA Rover heads with 11:1 compression and a roller cam in front of a 200R4 and a 4.10 gear should get you there on pump gas! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

However you do it with whatever engine you decide to use, keep us posted on your cool project.

You won't get much advice on a Chevy engine here. www.chevelles.com is a better site for that. Those guys know Chevys and know how to make them run. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm certainly not implying that you are not welcome here, just that your time might be better spent conversing with guys who know more about Chevys than anyone.

Yeah I will be all set on the sbc motor build ........... I've built plenty over the years already

Is why I never posted the last 6 years I have been a member on V8 Buick ..... I know how much you all like the Buick cars too keep Buick power But Still There is no better place to find Buick car parts so this is still a great place to look!

I had most of the SBC parts already so it was a easy pick in my case .......

Maybe you all can convince me to swap my SBC for a BBB???? I have a buddy trying to sell me a fresh 455
