Default A New Proud New Owner Of A 72 Stage-1.......

My good buddy Joe Denninger from Stroudsberg Pa. recently purchased this "Number Matching"-"Sloan Documented", drop dead gorgeous 1972 Stage-1 from fellow BPG member Scott Streidl of Cleveland Ohio. I saw the car @ the BPG Nats and got Scott & Joe together on the deal.

This car has run a best time of 12.14 @ 108.7.....and is a stunning show car as well. My compliments to Scott who constructed this car, owned it for many years, and did not comprimise on one thing when it came to building such a beautiful example of Buick Muscle.

It's really nice when a vehicle of this caliber can be passed on to someone who will appreceate it like the one who built it.

CONGRATULATIONS JOE, it couldn't have gone to a nicer guy! P.S. Any of you Buick guys from the Pocono's area that would like to contact Joe, he is JOEHURST on the V8 board.

    Default 72 GS Stage1

Found this car sitting in a garage 2 miles from my house. The guy I bought the car from had his mother give it to him after college. He told me his mom did not like to drive it because it was too "jumpy". During and after college he had a company car and never drove it. Needless to say the car was in very original condition. The water pump, master cylinder, plug wires (dated '75)and tires were the only things ever changed on the car. The tires were put on in '76. It took a lot of talking and a good amount of cash but untouched cars are'nt just parked everywhere. The bonus is that the thing is loaded. It was a dealer showroom car in Sarasota FL. ordered by Jax. headquarters. I have since taken the body off, painted the frame, engine, body etc. and upgraded the circa '70s polyglas tires.

    Default after junk was removed

The car was used as a storage shelf. This is after I unpiled all of the junk. At the time I was wondering how I was going to be able to talk this man into selling me his moms car. He was very attached.

    Default mileage

actual mileage - notice the speed alert on 70 just the way mama left it. The interior was moldy as you can see, so I was not sure how it would clean up. Fortunately it cleaned up beautifully - looks like new.

    Default heading to new home

Had to pay and go before he changed his mind. I really thought this man was going to cry. Actually his wife saw $ which translates to new furniture and shoes. So She helped me push him to sell it. I'l post some good current pics this weekend.
