69 and 70 Buick A-bodies with the standard interiors did not get kick panel carpets.

71 and 72 cars also did not get them.

I wish someone would put this in the FAQ section.

As far as 71 cars not getting a carpeted kick panel, you're wrong as my 71 Riviera has carpeted kick panels

My 68 has carpeted panels. Is that correct for the year? I believe it was a late year production.

    Yes,
I was referring to A-bodies, I have no idea what years the rivs/big cars had kick panel carpets. I know the most about A-bodies as those are the cars I used to make interiors for.

    Dan,
Does your 68 car have a standard or deluxe interior?

When I purshased my 68 I didn't have th carpet on the kick panel , but there was some (huge) evidence that It used to have something out there

There was a lot of old staples on both of them "tacked" from the inside if i'm correct .

As far as I know I do have the deluxe interior , bucket seat , console , sail panel light , glovebox light , etc .. what does the "deluxe" include beside this ?

My 73 Electra Limited has very moldy carpet on the kick panels and all 4 doors.

Why is it called a kick panel anyways? Are you really going to kick them?

I might be a little late but my 70 Skylark Custom Convertible with AC has carpet on the kickpanels as well as a 5 inch strip on the bottom of the door panels.
