How much for a single wire, 105amp, all black with a double groove pulley with shipping to 55033? Out of curosity sake; how much to upgrade to 140amp?

    Thanks,

    Steve

Thumbs up Re: hi-out put 1 wire delco alternators w/pics

    Jamie,

Just want to publicly say thanks! It's in the VW now and looks good (and works better too!) I had to make some new mounting brackets and ended up scratching a bit of that nice orange paint getting it in there, but it was worth it.

    Thanks again!

    Exclamation heres the oddball

just built for a member from Boston:this is the odd external regulated unit used in 71+early 72.confusion over this is because the ribbed rear case looks like the late 72+up internal regulated unit.if you look at the plug-in connection you see the prongs run the same direction as the ribs on the rear housing, the internal ones the prongs run against the ribs.thougt it might help you guys id what you have

    Jamie,

I have a stock appearing 1970 GS used mainly for race. No ac, very little electronics. I hook up the batt charger after every pass. I need a stock appearing alternator. I have a reproduction wiring harness on the car now and a mini 1 wire alternator. Prefer 1 wire for ease of hookup, but I have the original type harness in place with the voltage regulator on the firewall so I could go that route too though I will need a new regulator.

    Can you hook me up?

    Morning Jamie,

Give me a call today if possible to see if we can arrange something. In need of an Alternator soon. I don't want to go buy one in a local shop. I prefer to give my money to Buick guys.
Thanks and have a good day.

thats not an insult,if anything you calling me a liar is an insult,i have no motivation to lie, i'm simply stating a fact.I called you almost everyday for 2 wks. leaving multiple messages w my call back #,no response.I sent a pm w my call back #,no response.I posted asking to hear back from you saying i was very surprized because of the good service and cooperation i got w the starter you replaced for me .So before you get over defensive put yourself in my shoes,I spent money w you on a product that mite not be functioning properly, maybe im doing something wrong but im not the alternator expert you are but i still hav'nt gotten a call back months later.I misplaced your phone# and cannot find it on this board

    Hi Jamie

I am doing a 1964 Wildcat and would like to change to a one wire setup alternator and keep the idiot light working. I have a dual V belt pulley. The electrical system mostly stock, nothing exotic ie subs, multiple amps etc. What would you recommend?

    Thanks Dan

i would recomend calling me 509-447-0289.i need to know what options you have/planing onbuilding an alternator is like building a motor, accesories, rpms, options all factor in on how your alternater performs.most people just go to the parts store & say"gimme the highest out put ya got" not a good idea in most cases.i have in the last couple weeks, turned down building an alternator just for that reason.....you might not need a big one. please call first

    Jamie

Just got the alternator.Looks great. Hope to get it installed in the next month. Since mine is a dual pulley, can I replace the single pulley with my dual pulley off my original alternator?

Hope to get you a nailhead starter core to you in the next week or two.

    thanks Dan

What do I need, what do you have? I've got a 84 Regal, 462 motor, 10.46 compression, elect fan, elect water pump (Moroso type with the small electric motor), dual batteries, and holley blue electric fuel pump? This is a strip only type car. Previously used a plug in factory type connector to the alternator with a hot wire also going to the hot post and would like to keep it. I don't have a core. Thanks
