I just remember we had to cancel first payment cause i misheard and sent 148 lol
so is it safe to say that my old one ive purchased from you is a 105 amp?
Whats the biggest amp youve done in the cs-130? 160amps?

and whats the deal with the CS-144 alternators, are they still a simple boltup/wireup?

140 amp is as much as i will stuff in the small case CS-130

CS-144,It's larger in size...144mm diameter.Just built one last week for a member for his BBB rock crawler. You will need to modify the top adjusting arm,but other than that it is a bolt in if you have the room.A/C cars will need the bracket modified.

    Jamie,

I'd like to get a high-output with a single pulley for my 65 Skylark. I currently have a one wire hookup and my alt light works, but it also has the 2 wire plug on the side, I have no idea what model it is. The car has a 455 with electronic ignition, 1 400 watt sub for the 4 speakers, 1 300 watt sub for the woofer plus the battery is located in the trunk. I'm thinking about 105 amps should do it and Buick red would be a nice color. Shipping would be to 85326. I'll attach a picture of it looking down from the top.

    What would the cost be?

May be needing a 100+ amp for a new E-fan install that I am trying to get around to before the summer heat.

Would like closest to stock for my 69 with 455. Cost and shipping to 76182?

    nothing fancy needed.

    Will send email as well.

Jamie is great! Got the alternator quick and it is very nice looking.

Getting it installed as we speak...my old bracket bolt doesn't seem to have the same thread pattern as the new Delco.

Anybody know what bolt to use for the top bracket?

    Thanks,

    Jamie,
I have an internally regulated alternator in my car. (Guess it is a 12SI) It was there when I bought the car in 99. I recently heard it whining and discovered on of the bolts holding it together was gone, and when I tried to replace it, I found the case was stripped. It's kind of nasty looking anyway. I'd like replacement, but I don't need a lot of amperage. I don't need to run any high power stereo systems, or electric fans. I only have an MSD. What can you build for me? I need a double pulley.

12SI is fine. 66 or 78Amp should be plenty. Need double pulley. The rubber boot covering the battery connection on the back has seen better days. Got any of those?

Cool Re: hi-out put 1 wire delco alternators w/pics

    Howdy Jamie

I'm looking at changing my alternator over from a external VR to an internal VR. So I will need the alternator and wiring kit.

I would like a higher output one that also gives a good output at idle, I thinking something like your 130 or 140. I'm most likely going to be changing the raditor this winter and adding electric fans.

I would also like one of those smaller high torgue starters.

    I have a 1970 Buick GSX Tribute Car http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=228724

I'm running a 455 Stage 2 with air. As you see (from the attached photo's) the engine is running a newer big HEI system and the alternator is a two pulley mounted under the AC Bracket.

The car has a TB 400 Switch Pitch Automatic.

I was thinking of using Quality Power Auto http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=233695 (see post # 11).

I would rather use you to keep a Buick Guy working.

The alternator just has an idiot light right now, I'm going to buy a new gauge unit to replace the one I have now. The one I have just has Oil and Water, I'm going to buy one that has Oil/Water/Voltage. that way I will have a real voltage gauge and not just an idiot light.

Just wondering what kind of money I would be looking at from you for what I need ??? Just a rough idea right now is fine, when I'm ready I'll call you and we can iron out the price then.

    Thanks

    David

    Hi Jamie

    Yes I want the starter.

I called and talked with your wife, give me a call or let me know when to call back.

If the price is right I will order the starter and the alt. and the wire kit at the same time.

    Thanks

    Great talking with you Jamie

I'll drop everything in the mail Monday.

If you want to post a few shot's of the alternator and the starter (after you build the alt.) so I can enjoy them before I get them that would be .

    Thanks

Cool Re: hi-out put 1 wire delco alternators w/pics

    Howdy Jamie

Everything got here yesterday, thanks, sorry I didn't get on till now to let you know.

They look great, you did a great job on them.

Depending on how bad it is tomorrow........well today now , I'm going to try and get them in. Don't know if I will though.

The track of Hurricane Irene shows that we are going to get hit real bad, the way they are showing it the tracking is going to come right over us in Western MA. We have gotten a sh#* load of rain in the last few hours already and their saying we will get around 10 inches or so here by the time it's done.

I'll snap a few photo's and put up here for ya.

    See Ya
