wasn't sure where to put this, but since it relates to Martin, I'll put it here.
If you read about my issues at the Musclecar Reunion in STL, well I was able to swap the shifter body on my car. WOW, what a difference. The old f-body hurst I have, with the stubby arm that forces me to steer with the stubble Well, it's history (sorry Brian). I now have a slightly less used A-body, uh, body along with a longer arm that has a nice bend in it. I moved the bench back a little, adjusted the stops and went for a test drive. Everything looks good. I went out the back way from my subdivision and wound it through the gears. felt good. Also felt weird not having my chin on the steering wheel. Heading back to my subdivision I was glad I was behaving myself because coming fast around a curve was an unmarked cop car I watched him in my mirror, he hits the brakes and came to a near stop. I fully expected him to turn around and get me, but he didn't. So I proceeded to just drive back and put the car in the garage. Either someone didn't like me doing some, ah, testing (which I really wasn't that bad compared to how I usually am) or it was just coincidence that he was there. But looks like I have one issue solved as I hated that stubby shifter arm. Now later this week swap out what appears to be a bent rim ![]()

Ramrod's back running with the 4.10. I actually think I like it better. We'll see what happens at Martin. At least I'll make it....thanks to a lot of help from another Olds friend.
