Thumbs up Results From Martin ?

If anyone has any results please let us know as I am tied down this weekend recovering from hernia surgery . I understand weather conditions are not favorable so far.

I was just told that the #1 qualifier was Rick Mahoney with his '68 RA 2 Firebird running an 11.95 Also hear is passed inspection

I can say Martin was better for me this year than last ( Trans ) LOL . had a great time and looking forward to more later this summer. The 13.39 time slip was worth the trip . Not sure what else I can expect out of the Car but gonna keep trying.. Well gonna go rub solarcane on my lobster neck and face..

Sounds like he made his runs count...

Tim, were people actually checked and allowed to keep running assuming they did not pass?

Question Re: Results From Martin ?

Was peer teching encouraged?

How did this years Heavy Tech work out? I was busy doing test and tune, and I missed the heavy tech.

Heat and humidity was horrible Friday, Saturday was much better, but still pretty warm.
The Less-than-stock compression T-37 ran 14.50's on both days.
My brothers Chevelle ran 12.91 Friday, we left it at the track in the trailer, unloaded it Saturday morning, and it went a 12.65 first pass at 108+.
The guy I was paired with beat me up on the first run, but lost his front timing cover seal doing it,and had to trailer his car.
I never made another pass, so I don't know what you would call our mini shootout?

My brothers Chevelle was driven by our good friend Bryan Bottger who was paired with Tony Ragla's 69 375hp396. I think the only way the Chevelle won the shootout was due to it's auto trans/better 60 ft. Tony's Nova mph's like a MO-FO, and was running the Chevelle down through the traps on both runs, just missing.

As usual, great fun with great firends, although we did miss quite a few of you regulars(you know who you are,and so do we)
Lot's of neat cars too, Lane Carey's 71 Mustang was WICKED!!! Watch out for this one with more track time.
