Does any one know of any one offering the "3M" correct woodgrain transfer for the Buick wagons" I'm looking in to buying a 96 Roadmaster and may need some, AL.
Al- I'd go over to www.impalassforum.com and do a search/ask a question there. Plenty of Buick wagon owners there as the wagon and Impala SS drivetrains were the same.
That's the right link, their site is currently down for some server issues. There's a lot of info there on the wood as most of us face that same issue. The dark wood is still available, but the lighter stuff for the trim is out of production and out of stock. There have been a number of alternatives explored. Thought that was the first thing everyone removes? Mine came covered in that stuff and a hr or so with a plumber torch fixed it all. Paint was flawless under it.
What did you do with the trim from around the wood? How about the brown paint around the door handles?
Mine was all sticker, regular metal/chrome trim with a bunch of sticker down the miiddle, no paint, all sticker. 99.8% of it peeled right off. There were a few spots on pass side where it was so sun baked it was then work. see pics in sig link
Yea I had some guy on ebay cut me that last year, he was making ones like it but I put in the Buick logo. I still got the master image file. http://buickthunder.com/skullmine.jpg
Here is a pic of it in all stock form, all except the woodgrain sticker. Have made lots of change even since pics in sig link. Put back on the back bumper [wood 4x4 in sig pic] and blacked them both out. Got the Buick banner trim back on the rear door.
