Okay, I finally got back to working on the front end of my GS and it's been so long since the parts came off, that I can;t remember what goes where.

Can anyone help me out figuring which parts go ne which side?

The parts that I have are the Caliper Holder (not sure if that's the correct name), Splash Shield, and Steering Arm (also, don;t know if that's the correct name of the part).

The numbers that I have are:

    GM394568
GM394569, These are the steering arms that the outer tie rod connect to and then are bolted to the steering knuckle. I'm not sure which is the left and which is right.

    5463566-R
5463565-L, These are the splash shields and I know they mean left and right, but does it mean left as you'd be looking at the car from the front or left as in driver's side?

    5470681RH
5470660LH, These are the caliper brakets and again, not sure if RH and LH mean the left as you're looking at the motor from the front.

Also, when setting the calipers and brackets, would the caliper be ahead of the spindle or behind it? It look slike it might go either way, and I can't find any of my old pictures that show the setup before we took everything apart.

Left is drivers side, right is passenger side. The calipers mount behind the front wheels. They should only fit and function one way. Maybe this diagram from the 72 Buick Chassis manual will help.

Thanks Larry, I went back out and looked at one of the brackets and figured how to get it lined up and on right.

I still have to figure out which is the correct steering link though, as they both will go on either side. One puts the tie rod right against the backing plate, and one puts it away, more towards the center of the car. (Which I think is correct).

The steering arms are curved and they will curve towards the center of the car. Outer tie rods have the grease fitting opposite the stud. The inner tie rods have the fitting 90 degrees from the stud.
