10% off of Motor Mounts and Frame Pads >>Dang - I just ordered my 455 frame pads today from TA and didn't see this post until now!
Thanks Mike - I am about to order your frame pads/mount kit for a 455 into a 67 Buick Special. What are the pro's and con's between the aluminum and cast iron frame pads? - Bill
The aluminum pads are more susceptible to corrosion if used in a DD type car. They do weigh about half of cast iron if that's a consideration, but should be as strong. This is basically what the catalog states.
looks like i'll be holding off on the rear disc kit so i can purchase some ta no hop bars and a fuelblock off plate!!..i'll just wait til friday incase i find/dont find a cool deal im in need of for the killer deal days.. :beers2:
How much of an improvement are the no-hop traction bars over stock (69 Skylark) ? I am building a 550+HP engine. Regards, 455nGLIDE
They improve it quite a bit, they're basically a cheaper alternative to getting a whole new rear end suspension setup. They essentially reverse what the suspension is doing. The stock suspension is trying to lift the rear end when under load, by putting the no hop bars on it makes the chassis try to push the rear end down. By putting more of a downward force on the rear end, this results with better traction.
well orderd the ta no hops and block off plate i pretty much got a dollar off give or take and free shipping due to the 25 off the ta no hop bars! thanks again TA
I packed the fuel block off plate in the same box with the no hop bars and I wrapped the bars and little bushing thingies in newspaper to prevent them from chipping each other, so be sure to unwrap everything before you toss the paper :beers2:
Any sales going on for this "winter" of 2020. If so can they be applied towards incoming build projects for you guys?
The original post is from 2009, Dalton69Skylark replied after almost 11 years with the question if there are any sales going on for 2020.
About the 67 aluminum chassis mounts.Yes I got them about 30 years ago,my car has way over 700 HP,and they still look new.By the way,the car is kept outside.Bruno.
