I Need 15x8 With 5 Inch Backspace For The Rear And 15x7 With 4.5 Bs For The Front.i Have Several 69 Cars And All The Rims I Have Dont Fit With The Tires I Want To Use. These Will Work Great On 70-2 Cars. Thanks Randy
On 68-9 Cars It Looks Like 245 Will Fit Fine And Maybe 255's Will Work Depending On The Tire.without Trimming The Quarter Panel. If Any 68-9 Guys Can Help Us Out ,i Would Appreciate It. Thanks Randy

Would 15X8" with 4.75" rear spacing wheels work for you? I had a pair done a few years ago by Wheel Vintiques to fit the 12 Bolt in my GSX with 275-60-15 BFG drag radials. Now I plan to put the 10 Bolt back in, and will need a 4.5" rear spacing wheel. They are not new, but are still very nice. If they will fit your car, maybe we could work out a deal on a trade.
Is the 12 bolt out of a 67 and earlier car? I tryed some 4.75 " rims and only 255's would clear the lip with 1.75"s clearace on the inside. So to get the 275 tires I have in there I need at least 5 " backspace. Thanks Randy
Randy. At this point I don't remember what the 12-Bolt axle came out of, but I seem to remembar a '69 El Camino. Don't take that as gospel though, I have three or four 12-Bolts floating around. The drag radials on 4.75" rearspacing wheels actually come very close to rubbing the lower shock mounts on my '70 GSX, but leave a good amount of space between the tire and wheel opening lip. This is what I wanted as I had no intention of trimming the lip on the original quarters. If you have already tried 15 x 8" with 4.75", then these would not work for you. Would you consider selling your wheels in pairs? I only need two at this stage. Jim. J
Give me a day to check what size rubber I can get on these. I'll give you a buy / no buy by tomorrow night. This work for you? Need to know who else might have 15 X 8 with 4.5" back-spacing on their 70-72? What size rubber you using?
I run a 275 60's on these size rims, they fit nicely.I know of several members that run 295 50's with no problems also.
Randy, If Steve passes ,I will take them. I want to check with my client first . Please give me a day.. For the Record the largest street tire you can run on a 1968-69 is a 275/60-15 with a 5-5-1/4 backspacing, I have done this for several cars. The Largest slick I ran was a Firestone 29.5x10.5 over 30" tall & I believe 11 wide, very close @ the rear inner wheelhouse.I never modified anything to fit . I also have 275/60-15 on 15x7 buick wheels currently on my Black car . They are Regal rims . I cant remember the code right now . The side wall is kind of buldged out . Stock width 10 & 12 bolt 68-70 rears Nick
