Set of 5 brand new polyglass tires still in packaging. Cost $1,500.00 new. $1,250 or best offer. 608-225-1596
O'meGOSH..I wish I had ANY money right now. :ball: I really would like to buy these for my never-ending-battle-trying to finish my 70 Stage 1, 4 speed....hmmm :idea2: ..I wonder..is there anything you might consider a trade for? o No: I've got some 35+ years of Buick stuff....just a thought. Wheelz, :bglasses: Tampa Bay
Not to steal this thread....Wheelz, what kind of NOS goodies do you have? I have 7 NOS G60-15's that I won't be using on my convertible because it came with 14's. The don't have that pesky DOT writing on them, but I can't read the date codes stamped into them. I don't really care to sell, but prefer trades, such as NOS trim, 1/4s, enngine parts, etc. Any nailhead goodies? Thanks, Dan
Not trying to steal my thread? I think you've done a pretty good job of it! Hope YOU get what your looking for!
Fair enough. I wasn't trying to sell. I was offering to trade to someone with no spare MONEY, that you did not reply to. I will sell nothing I have to you SXsleeper, to honor you discontent. Also, I retract my offer to trade anything I own to you SXsleeper or Wheelz, to avoid offending you. Those that know me know that I have a building full of NOS and hard to find parts, and that I rarely sell anything. I will keep these perfect tires for someone else who needs them. Are you happy? Dan
Does someone know if the G60X15 were ordered on all the 70-72 GS & GSX's or just how many cars came with that size? I Think they came on the 69 Hurst and 70 olds 442 and cutlass?
Dale, They would have been an option all 3 years on any GS, including the 350's. Mike Trommetter's book shows a little over 2,000 GS's each year were ordered with them. Tom
69 Hurst Olds only was the only 15" wheel available on any Cutlass/442/F-85 until 73. G-70-14 was the largest "performance" tire available through 1972 even on 442 W-30's.
G60-15 RWL Goodyear polyglas tires coupled with either F4 or F7 wheels were optional in 1970 ONLY on BB Buick GS 455 and Stage 1 cars. A 1970 GS 350 could not be ordered with either of the above wheel and tire combo's In 71-72 any GS 350-455-stage 1 car was open to order F7 15x7 chrome and G60's. F4 15 x7 plain steel wheel dog dish cap and trim coupled with G60 tire was not offered in 71-72 see my avatar for pic of this .
Rich: So you are saying that you could NOT order G-60's, plain steel wheels and dog dish with trim rings for 71-72 ? My 71 Stg 1 car came that way and thats the way I ordered it ! I have pictures taken in June of 71 right after I took delivery.
Before someone gets their ********* in a vise, I think the option for "G-60's, plain steel wheels and dog dish with trim rings" was offered in the beginning of the 71 model year but was discontinued due to lack of orders. If anyone is interested in finding out when the option was discontinued they should go through the Wholesale Order Forms and/or Assembly manuals. Duane
All : My GS Stg 1 was ordered 1st week in April and delivered in third week of May. Steelies, Dog dishes and all. Just for you info ! But like always, I guess anything goes.
