It was partially dismantled in my garage on my stand then I bolted it all together without gaskets was an 83K motor ran real strong! 70 skylark
So it need's gasket's. How complete is it & the important Q is: I have a 4-speed set up in my car is it set up for that? Thank's
Im not sure what it takes to be a stick engine but if its like a 455 all you need is the ball and a flywheel. I was going to just freshen it up bearings and all to make sure it was good but I sold that regal I was going to use it in. I would take it apart to be sure its ready to go anyway before use. wont take that long
I need an "oil slinger" it is the thing that covers the front seal on the front of the crankshaft timing gear. quote=RACEBUICKS;1663456]75 455 ran when I got it setting on a stand to clean it up and redo it for a car paid $500 for it like to get that for it 73 455 disassembled needs rebuilt $350 74 455 with transmission semi complete locked up but lots of parts $250 74 455 ran when pulled setting in my engine storage needs rebuilt $350 70 350 ran very good when I got it and put it on a stand to clean it up and rebearing it but didnt do anything with it $400 71 350 2 barrel (locked up) for parts only $100 67 340 complete pull out hear it run and such needs freshened up $400 with the transmission too All of these will need to be picked up. I'm interested in : 74 455 ran when pulled setting in my engine storage needs rebuilt $350 Im in NYC, please let me know if still available! Thanks
Mike, Would you think about splitiing up the 73 455 engine? I would only want the heads. The dumb thing I did 2 years ago was sell 2 sets of 455 heads at a local swap meet for $20 for allof them. I didn't want to load them back into the truck. One set was 71 and the other were 72. Anyway let me know. I have to call Dave near you regarding his trans for sale. I'm assuming I can pick them up when I take the journey if you want to split up the motor. Thanks, brian
I have a 73 set of heads I am sure If you come by here (since Dave lives 2 blocks away) We will find a set or 2
