Actually, the only reason I haven't posted it, is because I don 't know how to take the pictures and upload the computer. Got her a 1972 Mercury Montego GT 351CJ --- Ron Tuttle and Bob Boden set me up!!!!!! Stopped by with it detailed and pimped out big time and asked the wife if she wanrted to take it for a ride. She fell in love with it and then informed her it was for sale!! :ball: I Always told her " if a car grabs you by the balls then you have to get it " weelll I guess she found a set, cause she had to have it !! So this will be the last year for the OLDS and she will be running the MERC. next year.
Sounds good to me ....... !! Can you donate the Olds to me >>>>>>> o No: :Brow: Tim, it's not balls.....Rhonda has brass ovaries ............ OK Casey, knock it off
Hey, Hey, Hey!!!! let me explain what really happened. Ron and me had been working on the Montego GT, trying to correct some issues like, the carb. flooding over, and some over heating problems. As soon as we got the GT running good enough to base line it and start tuning. Well, lets just say Ron's personal life took a 180 degree turn. So he decided to put the GT up for sale. Since helping Ron work on the Montego GT, I personally fell in love with the car myself, but I was not able to purchase the GT because of other financial obligations. So Ron and me decided to take the Montego GT to Bakers one Sunday, in Milford. We thought that would be a good place to try and sell the Montego GT. Well the weather turn sour so we left early, and driving down U.S. 23 south, the weather started to get better. So I said to Ron, if your in no hurry, how about running by the Clary's and show them your car. Since I couldn't purchase the GT, I was really hoping to find a good home for this sweet ride in our own musclecar circles. So I have to admit, and come clean, I had a hunch, if Tim or Rhonda seen this awesome musclcar they would fall in love with it like I did. Well my hunch was right. At first they walked out to look it over, and they did. And then Tim said take Rhonda for a ride. So Ron threw the keys at her and said she knows how to drive, I don't need to go with her. In the mean time, Tim is watching over the store making pizza's, and say's to Ron and me, she really loves your car Ron. Well, I guess Ron and me didn't pick up on her excitement over the GT, but her hubby did. Rhonda was gone for a little bit taking the big block cruise in their neck of the woods. On her maiden cruise she stopped by and showed Yvonne McNicol's, another Pure Stock racer/house hold, and showed her the Montego GT. Yvonne didn't even really know what it was. She never seen one before, along with many others. So on her return to the store is when I finally seen that musclecar glimmer in her eye's, and with her grin smiling ear to ear, I new she grew some (As Casey would say) brass ovaries out on her test drive. So just before leaving the parking lot, Tim ran out, and told Ron he would call him the next day. Now was it a set up? Well!!!!! sort of kind of. I was just glad that the Clary's fell in love with the Montego GT. And their musclecar home was just what I was looking for. I also know that they will continue where Ron and me left off, and show what a well tuned 1972 Montego GT can run like. Stop by some time when your out cruising with the GT. Enjoy your new ride Rhonda. :beer:3gears:
