I bought mine second hand for a good price, but yes, the one for 3" axle tubes. It fit my 8.2 10 bolt rear, and also the 8.5 10 bolt I replaced it with.
Cheap? For the Extreme Bar it says "Note: Due to the nature of the end links used with this rear bar, Hotchkis Sport Suspension Lower Trailing Arms #1302 must be used." So how much were the trailing arms? o No: I'd rather utilize my stock lower arms and box them in. I need a bar that will mount to stock arms.
I just received a set-up from www.spohn.net, it looks similar to the HR & BMfabrications. I also have an original style bar I bought from Herb Adams Racing years ago. Its a true 1 1/2" bar that attaches as OEM. Never tried it, more than likely be selling it, as the car sat in limbo so long that these others came to be. Since I'll be welding the axle tubes to the center section, I will weld the bushing perches to the axle tubes eliminating any brake line fab. Larry
I used that bar for years. 1 1/2" solid, weighed a ton!ou: I now have the HR bar. I can tell you from a handling standpoint that the HR bar works far better. http://www.v8buick.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=11034&d=1063847945
Not sure if the last meaasge went through. Do you still have the Herb Adams 1.5" rear sway bar? If so do you want to sell it? Thanks!
No, sold it years ago. I still have the front one though. I removed it because I had trouble with the Rod Ends they use for end links. I could never get them to line up right, and they would break on me. If you can't find a HA bar, the next best thing is the bars HO Enterprises sells. They sell 1 3/8" front and rear bars that fit great. http://www.hoenterprises.com/WSFF/home.asp?vCompID=27383 Click on Services, then Products, then scroll down.
