Jeromy, Please no wetting your pants!!! You owe me!! LOL....!!! I've got this Buick smell on me and I can't get it off. Jim
In all honesty, the car show is phenomenal. These II nice Buicks, pun intended, were high lighted in their own area. As you can see, the Stage II parts were on the table trying to educate those interested on the special package. The only thing missing was some wheels up video in action. GREAT SHOW!!!!!!:beers2: Glad you guys like the pictures. We need all the help we can to get through the winter.:kodak: Jim Lerum:TU:
Nice to see these two very special pieces of Buick History together in one place. And, nice to see the Jones-Benisek Buick lettered in as-raced condition. Last time I saw it, it was sans lettering and severely lacking in the "COOL" department.:TU: Thanks Jimmy

Thanks for posting those pics Jim:beers2: I know the owners and have seen those cars in the flesh but still nice to see the pics
The red one did frequently when Tom Rix owned it. Now that a collector owns it, I wouldn't think so. Rob, has Mike G. ever ran any of his cars down the track at the Supercar Reunion ?
Friggin' shame...those cars deserve to see the track. The only older car of Guarise's I can remember him running is the '71 "Black Gold" T-37...I think he ran it at a couple of the Supercar Reunions. I long for the days when some these warriors that earned their stripes on the track were still doing, if in nothing more than match races (Sox&Martin vs. ZL-1 #1 vs. Red Alert comes to mind). Theres a guy a couple hours from us that we see at shows that owns several of the original S&M race cars, and we've done everything short of beg him to bring one of them out to play...but he insists they're simply "too valuable".
I wasn't very clear, but Mike Guarise owns the red one now. I don't know if the white one is raced. Found this online when Tom used to own it, http://www.automachperf.com/stage2.html
Very nice pictures. Thanks for posting. That makes me want to go racing even more.....is it spring yet. :gp:
Oh, now I gotcha! If Guarise owns it, then there's a glimmer of hope it will see the track...he almost always has something cool to play with at the track day of the Supercar Reunion. I would like to find some of the original race cars from back in the day that actually see some track time now...not as a king of the hill, just a showcase of sorts. The Nostalgia Super Stock guys told us "Red Alert" was too new [and isn't a 4-speed/multi-carbed combo], and a couple of the other "nostalgia" groups we've ran with seem to have an odd perception of what nostalgia is [dry sumps & air shifters?]. ...
Tom was still racing it back in 03 or 04, He was going to run GSE in Norwalk but we ended up getting rained out. I would love to see a Match/Grudge race with Red Alert.............
Thanks for posting the pics. I really wanted to attend but couldn't find anyone to make the 6 hour journey with. .
