Finally the weather is good enough here to take out my brown 75 Lesabre convertible. I crawled under and measured the crossmember it appears to be about 57 inches long (and a tubular design), it bolts onto the frame which is not boxed. Hope that helps my searchp
Here is a pic of the current sway bar, it is about 57 inches long and about 2 1/2 inches between the side bolts center to center. Here is the white (beater no more) just out of paint. Cheers
Still on the hunt for the Dual exhaust crossmember ray: The measurments are 2 1/2" center to center bolt on the side and 54 1/2" center to center bolts on the length. Here is a pic :kodak: of my recently restored brown Lesabre , just chasing small parts on this one. Happy 4th everyone!
I have one out of 74 Riviera. It's 55 7/8 X 8 3/4 wide. Don't seem to be the size your looking for and the Riv was a two door. If your interested I can post a couple pics for you tomorrow. Tom
Tom, My measurements were from center bolt to center bolt at the side (2 1/2") and across the length (54 1/2") so it doesn't seem to be a match Cheers Robert
My measurements were ovall. End to end and side to side. If I get home at a decent time tomorrow I will measure center of bolt hole to center of bolt hole. Now you got me wondering. Tom
You have the pics of the wide design...he has the tubular version in his car now which is common to Chevy models......he has a convertible which makes a difference....I got one from a 71 Electra 2dr and it would not work...so I think it has to come from a conv 71-76 B-body.
i am pretty sure i have one from a 75 vert. i will check it tomorrow. any one know what shipping might be from 64734 in the US?
75 will not work.....has to be from 71-74 since they had dual exh....starting in 1975...no GM car had dual exh because of the cats introduction
Thanks for all the work on this :beers2: , FYI :Smarty: , I am taking the 455 out of the Blue Buick and having a few performance mods.... 72 heads (higher compression) probably a TA 212 cam, ported heads and manifolds, hopefully a true dual exhaust, I had a rochester 750 cfm built by Cliffs Hi Performance last year, and I may need a new posi as it has a bit of a clunk (over 200K miles) Also I need a couple of other small parts that I will post separately Cheers Robert :TU:
what about a 71-74 wagon, did they have boxed frames on the B body wagons like the 68-72 A bodied wagon and camino/sprints??
It appears that on my 75 Lesabre vert the frame is not boxed where the crossmember bolts up. It's boxed at the rear and at the front, but where the x member bolts up it a C frame.
how is the reardriver floor pan on your parts car? i need one for the 73 electra Ijust picked up. if its good are you willing to sell and how much
