Gentlemen; I recently used a friend's old/worn non-choke Holley750 on my Stage-1 Regal. I now have a new Holley850 Double-Pumper (with the choke in open position with "tie-ties"). My question is this, "How much fuel pressure should I have? Is "8-1/2 lbs p.s.i. TOO-MUCH??? I have no fuel pressure regulator. I am using a Carter-110-gallon electric fuel pump in unison with TA Performance's Street-Strip Mechanical pump (for over 1-year now). o No: A few days ago video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUvbyDLEYqA Today's video; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oIebRj7MInA ou:
Thanks much, Mike. :TU: ... I just spoke to "TIM" of TA Performance; He stated that my "8 1/2 P.S.I." of fuel pressure with the new Holley850 DP is too much. Tim told me that "8 p.s.i." of fuel pressure is great ... "over" 8-p.s.i., I do indeed need a fuel pressure regulator. :3gears:
Hey Chris, Just my Opinion 7 1/2 PSI is max For those type of needle and seats unless you are running a Viton Needles with springs. Its going to push fuel past the needle and seat, it will flood the car. Just giving you a heads up Just in case. :TU:
Thanks MUCH. When I get the FP-regulator ... it "WILL" be set a "7-1/2 P.S.I." of fuel pressure. :TU::TU:
