Hi all:grin: my name is Tom and I am from St. Louis MO and I've picked up a 67 Riv for a winter project. Got started on it last week and the wife is already PISSED! WTF? :blast: At any rate, I have lots of questions for all the experienced rivvy connoisseurs out there. So you guy's will be hearing more from me soon.
Tom: Please put your name in your signature, we are all here on a friendly first name base :TU: A drunk wife is like an angel in bed.....:beer It looks like you have a wee bit of work to do on the Riviera:
Welcome from Ohio, remember woman's job to get pissed and men's job to give them a reason. I'm very impressed that you know how to spell "connoisseurs", I'm copying it from your post btw. Just tell her you going to make a profit on the project. Won't work but you can try!
Welcome from MA. You should be ok fixing the car...you are an optimist...I can tell that from the bumper up on the wire rack!
Welcome from Florida! Lying to her will just make it worse. You'll never make a profit fixing up any old car. Each time you buy a car part allow her to buy a new pair of shoes. She wont be any happier about your project but she wont give you as much grief either. Ask me how I know!
thanks lemmy The fenders are actually sitting up-right on the other side of the car. BUT, the question still remains, "what happened to the fenders?" It appears that they were In some kind of major catastrophe.... maybe a cyclone followed by 7 day lightning storm? Or maybe 46 years of continuous acid rain? just guessing, but I'm pretty sure they are headed for the scrap yard, that is if I pick up the parts car this weekend as planned. ---------- Post added at 12:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:50 PM ---------- thanks everybody And I'll keep everyone posted on the progress..............on the mental status of the wife that is. cuz she knows I aint sellin it when its done!!! Connoisseur......I had to google it!:bglasses: ---------- Post added at 01:04 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:57 PM ---------- LMAO! I Must be TWICE as optimistic as previously stated, cuz both bumpers are up there!!!ou:
went on a road trip yesterday to KC, Kansas from St. Louis 600 mile round trip and scored 2 fenders, 2 quarters, hood, some trunk goodies, and 2 aluminium drums for $500 bucks. Had to cut them off myself, but got it done in one day! One LONG day.
