Well i am looking at these 17" rally wheels from opgi and yearone for my 64 skylark pro touring build. Any thoughts of how they will sit on the car. The car is stock with the original 10 bolt rear end, but im installing the cpp pro touring stage 1 kit and cpp front disc brake conversion kit and 2" lowering springs. http://www.opgi.com/skylark/1964/wheels-accessories/wheels/ The wheels are 17x8 4,5 BS and 17X9 5,125 BS
The lowering springs and tire size throw a curve into the setup. Without the lowering springs the wheels would work. Had them on a '65 Skylark. Maybe check in the Pro Touring section. A couple of guys there have done Skylarks.
Have you seen these? I know they're expensive but truer to the source. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bvi-104-7953405/overview/
With the front disc brake conversion you will want to ask CCP if the wheel will be in the same spot or moved out. If moved out then by how much. That will guide you as to what the backspacing that will be needed. Or maybe wait until your conversion is done before ordering the wheels. Then take your measurements. You can use the stock wheels as a guide.
circle racing - that is the company i was trying to remember. those wheels are on a member's car here in windsor that is being restored locally.
Thanks for the input guys. Going to install the steering and suspension parts first. Do not want to order a set of wheels that might not fit since i am going to pay twice the price due to shipping and additional taxes.
