Thank you for getting back to me. I understand on the heads. How much for the intake....and I have a stock 71 455. May have stg 1 heads haven't cracked the motor as it only has 56 thou on it. What is the port/ runner difference between my heads and the two's?Does the Holley come too? o No:
One thing I like about the 2's is that center bolt for the headers is on top! Besides the extra power of course!
might need some/a steering column part (s) just found out today I have a problem. Key will start the engine, but will not cut it off. The engine keeps running when you turn the key to the "off" position.
I will pass on the heads for now. I was just trying to find out what type they were. Along with the fender and hood.
Not sure where I stand, but, interested in alum st 2 heads and possibly shortblock. Please send PM to me if it gets to me. Thanks, Matt
Not bored, has standard bore 1970 Sealed Power pistons. No cam but have a few that would be optional. Short block assembled. Compression ratio will depend on heads and head gaskets. Dougs GSX up first now, for block and aluminum heads. A few used ones, good condition, not sure if they'd be classified as excellent. Will do, Matt. "Old" style Edelbrock square pattern design manifold is probably $350. 850 Holly that came with it is optional, probably another $150.
Crawl under the dash and check the actuator rod and switch mounted to the column. Could just have "pet hair" or some such collectable crux in it so it doesn't cycle back. Often a good cleaning is all that's needed:TU:.
But....that intake would bolt up to stock heads? I've built Chevy...Olds..Pontiac's...this is my first Buick build. I'm unfamiliar ...but competent and Eager! Thanks!
Hey John, interested in the "72 stereo, not working but easily fixed" and two NOS Delco rear speakers, 20 oz magnet, $50 each. Let me know Thanks Nelson
According to board rules, Nelson, it looks like you are in first place on the stereo even though I got a PM from another board member interested in it first. Believe that is correct.
Please let me know your final decision on those iron 2's. Think I'll pass on the old Edelbrock for now. Just bought a new spreadbore qjet. Thank you very much for your time on this. stevedemo71@gmail.com
Did you say you had a green steering wheel? Can I see a picture of the wheel? Also need white sun visors if you have them?
