Unreal... the law fails honest people once again. On a side note, I am also a Debary, FL resident. (Small world)
Same sort of thing happend to me only it was a hand gun that was stolen and then showed up at a pawn shop years later.
Oh cool! Well, I also am working on a pseudo tribute Buick-thing=a-ma-bob. Ha! It's a 71 Skylark, currently with a stock 350 in it. But a 455 sitting on the garage floor as I type, and I have a monster trans on order and getting ready to put in a Ford 9" rear. If it wasn't 2009 Corvette Atomic Orange and two aftermarket scoops from Autozone a few years ago (stop laughing) mounted on the hood it would almost be a GNX knock off. It's unique, but ours. Hope to have it on the road in a 60 days or so. I'm close to the Debary and Orange City line. By the AMF Deltona Lane Bowling Center.
Sounds great Steve, I look forward to seeing it on the road. I wish I was only 60 days away... been on mine 3 years, 3 months and counting. I am over near I4 and Dirksen Drive. There used to be a burnt orange 70'-72' Buick Skylark vert in my neighborhood years ago, not sure if you remember that car or not.
I kinda like that color.. In fact its one of my favs! <a href="http://s1320.photobucket.com/user/itsjustbriz/media/Riviera/0411121833a_zps03eab651.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u540/itsjustbriz/Riviera/0411121833a_zps03eab651.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo 0411121833a_zps03eab651.jpg"/></a>
This "because the three-year statute of limitations for theft had expired" is a bunch of BS! So basically you can go steel a car, hide it in storage for 3 yrs, claim the car for storage fee's and now you own the car free and clear??
Not sure I believe that, either. I've heard of cars going back to their rightful owners after 30 years. Theft of real property with a title I can't believe has a statute of limitations.
I would be raising holy hell if that was one of my toys! Statute of limitations on theft? That doesn't sound right. hell, in Ma- no title and or no prior registration means no registration will ever be issued. Period . uzzled:
Exactly! I'd be at my attorney's office. I know of no "statute of limitations" for theft. If an insurance company paid for the loss, they may want all, or part of that $$ back.
