I could not have taken all that work and then not run it at the track. Beaver Springs dragway is only 20 miles from Selinsgrove straight down Rt. 522. On a quiet night you could probably hear the cars racing. My head would've exploded if I didn't get the car there.
Another so called high horse engine that never made it to the track. Another 350 promotion that went no where. Now is gone. How old is this thread? Take a good guess then look back. Great engine with good dyno results but now is gone this was done in what year? what year is it now? how many of you guys going to actually put something out there, or are you all going to keep talking and produce one of these dust collectors.
Ya know, I guess I could be called a big block guy. I've got a built and dyno'd 455 going in my car. But i cut my teeth on SBB power and I'll never forget that. Now with the single plane and the heads that TA is putting out, I'm way excited for the future of the SBB. I honestly believe some big power is coming from these tree-fiddys soon, I just hope I'm in a position to get in on it. Laugh if you want, I truly believe sbb's are gonna turn some heads very, very soon....
Unbelievable......been unbelievable, out produced TA's roller cam, alum head, SP3 mill.????? Maybe we shouldn't believe anything we hear & only half of what we see?
I don't believe the dyno numbers were accurate on this engine. At that time Jim B was having some serious issues with his credibility. I have no doubt that the engine ran great and made awesome power however 551 HP was a bit of a stretch I would imagine based on what we have seen over the years with all the other dyno tests and track MPH calculations to determine HP. Im sure it hit 500 HP however it also took a ton of trial and error as well as a very big cam. I was speaking with the owner of the engine recently he still has it in his car and it runs great.
