What does the electrical plug on the passenger side of the carb control? o No: Without going into too much detail, the car quit running for about 20 minutes today before it decided to start again. There was no fuel coming out of the squirters, and after sitting for a few minutes it would start and run for a few seconds. I finally wondered if the fuel filter (factory) was clogged with rust, and having no other options, I tapped the filter a few times with a wrench. Cranked up and ran all the way home! I'm not saying that's what "fixed" it, but at least I can pull the factory filter out and see what's going on. But I have no idea what the plug on the carb goes to, and if that could have been the problem that the tapping "fixed"

Now that I've driven it more, it seems to be vapor lock. Once it cools off some, it starts up fine. Rides pretty good for a hoopty car! :bglasses:
Just pulled the factory filter out and cleaned a bunch of rust out of it. Drives much better now! Next time I'm near a parts store I'll buy a new one and be done with it.
