Hey Mark, any updates on this? Very interesting thread, I'll be installing my SP3 soon and will be running a Qjet as well, at least for now - I've been eyeing the Holley Terminator kits.
Hey Craig, New laptop here, took me awhile to get set up:eek2: Anyhow, I'm running an AED 850 (Holley based) instead of my Q-Jet on my SP3, the AED DP supplies the fuel on the secondary side IMMEDIATLY verses the Q-Jet with no squirters on the sec. side. The bog is gone, I can slam the throttle wide open, and it GOES:TU: My Q-Jet worked AWESOME on the Stage 1 intake, but it seems overwhelmed on the SP3, theres a big sink hole below the throttle plates on the SP3, and the Q-Jet just didn't seem happy when slammed wide open for the first few seconds. My first and only pass this year netted me a 14.1uzzled: Pass went well, no bog, pulled hard, trans shifted great. My AF was 12.0 during the run with the stock 82/92 jetting and timing at 33/34 total I waited 2 hours to make one pass at Norwalk, then another half hour in the staging lanes, pretty typical for Friday TNT. I swapped in 90 jets in the rear and bumped my timing back to 36 total, haven't been back to the track yet. On the AED 850, a lot of non Buick people say "that's way too big" but my AF numbers say different, and the drivability is like fuel injection, VERY responsive/sensitive, absolutely no loading up, I'm happy I went 850 cfm. I'm determined to get my 13's back!!!!!
