Looks like my old B.F. Goodrich tires got into the steroid pills or something! How big are those new tires?
Bet you're happy I trimmed all that sheet metal off the inside of the fender well! I removed 1/2" to 3/4" of the lip, just to be safe, when I put the BFs on it.
I would have used braided steel lines to the pump, your rubber lines are actually too long. With the fuel pump in that location the tires could shoot something at the fuel pump and cut the rubber lines and poof, fire. This is why I would use the braided steel lines if you want to keep this location. I mounted mine between the gas tank and the rear end and used the trunk as the mounting surface. I bought some steel pieces and made a mount for it to attach to trunk.
Looking good. And went fairly quick and you seemed to have done your research as you already had your plan and needed parts . Looks like you are about ready for the streets. Are those drag radials? You should have a fun summer
thanks guys i dont think there are to many issues with the lines plus i can still change them easy... there could be always something flying and damage the pump as well... i tried to build a bracket as well but it came out wobely.. so i decided for the frame location. Yes that be 275/65 drags. Now i gotta save some$ for a torque converter and the step&start box for my nitrous...lol.
lol... i guess the planing etc is my german blood haha... my wife is going crazy with accepting all the deliveries.. Ups guy is my best friend in the meantime
Ich habe Deutsch Blut auch. Viele gerade wren berrascht, wie viel Deutsche es in der amerikanischen Kultur ist!
lol.. i can tell by all the pretty german last names around me.. thats awesome... even though i have norwegian in it as well (grandmom) i guess that explains that i miss the cold sometimes here in Cali.
This are 15x8 corvette rallys plastdipped black.. BS is 4. tires are 275/65 15 .. that gives me a 27" tire
Are you sure about that back spacing measurement? That shouldn't work on a 68-69 car. It is short about 1".
Larry I can't say for certain but a 15 x 8 will work with any reasonable back spacing. It may just affect the tire size. I'm putting 15x8 cragar ss on my 68 and they have 4-1/4" backspacing. I've seen guys running 15x8 with 3-3/4" backspacing.
