Life was keeping me from my Dusty, I took him for a drive today . Seems I have to look for some one who can do a bit of body work. Is hot in Texas so get ready for me to ask for help.

I talked to one of Terry's friends the other day and he said they're planning on opening as usual. No way of knowing for sure until it opens though.

and I'm carless. The rent-a-racer is back with Kurt living it's life back out of the public eye.

The GT-37 will be assembled by the end of the month then I can finally pick it up :TU: Once back, I have some cheating to do :Smarty: And finish troubleshooting my issue when the car got hit :af: I suspect the fuel pump is bad. I'm really looking forward to the April track rental since it will have been 10 months since I ran the car.

The W-31 engine build has started. The Legendary interior order was placed. The sorting through my stacks of glass, regulators, door locks and latches and small chrome bits that need to get rechromed is in full swing. Seriously doubt the car will be done for the Olds Nats in ABQ this summer as I don't want to rush things.

I've spent the time since Stanton trying to figure out why the car just did not run. Oh, it would start and drive around, but not run. Looks like some of the parts I got from restoration parts sources are fine for looking at and pushing on and off trailers, but not so hot other wise. Fuel pump being the biggie! I never was a racer so I have had a lot to learn. Seems like back in the 60's and 70's if you needed a fuel pump for a Hi-Perf factory engine the guy at the parts counter asked the right questions and most of the time you got the right pump. Today it seems most places have just one pump and it will work up to a point. One of the other pure stock racers got me to Summit and a real muscle car fuel pump.

Had to move the silver slug on Saturday where I have it stored and had to resist the urge not to rip on it a little to relieve stress

well, the car hasn't been painted yet. Hopes to have the hood, doors, fenders and trunk lid painted by friday. With the body ready for paint by the weekend. If I had to guess, I would say it's 50/50 I'll have the car for the April TnT.

Meanwhile money continues to poor out for the engine build as the parts hunt continues.

You are in the same boat as I am. Mine is a 69 400 as well. The next step is the top, windshield or rust over the wheel wells. :)

    What's FACEBOOK?

Just kidding my wife has one and wants another.

    Cheers,
    Mike
