Since my X is off the rotisserie, it's time to hang another on it. This is a going to be an awesome ride, been looking forward to getting started on it for sometime now.

    71 Stage 4speed
AC,tilt,f41,342 Posi, tach, ralley wheel, power disc, power steer,no consolette but did have the console. n25, AM/FM stereo, courtesy lights, color is code 29 Nocturne blue with white interior and top. We also ALL the documentation, build sheet, protec-to-plate, dealer invoice etc etc. Original engine is gone was blown under warranty, have dealer paperwork where warranty engine was installed in 72 IMG_20180307_171208340.jpg

Goal is a very clean driver, with a stockish engine, just something to cruise and enjoy

I’ve seen this car in person, it’s got great bones. And Nocturne Blue over white is going to be stunning. Looking forward to this build.

Nocturne Blue! I don't think I've ever seen an A body with that color.

Ethan, was this a local car? What dealer sold it? My 71 Stage 1 came from Cloninger Motors in Greer.

Was sold new in FL I'm thinking around the Ft Lauderdale area can remember rite off. IMG_20180307_171233576.jpg IMG_20180307_171218951.jpg IMG_20180307_171255044.jpg
Yea I'm thinking the amount of A bodies that received Nocturne is really low, car isn't terrible, needs trunk , couple small floor repairs, bottoms of 1/4's and the roof has a few soft areas overall it's not bad, little crustier than we normally fool with but it's too cool not too

Only 36 left the factory Nocturne Blue out of 9170 total GS cars in 1971.

Wow, what a rat! That thing was rode hard and put away wet. I always look at cars like this and wonder what happened to them. Someone drove that car off the lot, washed and waxed it, took care of it.....how did it go from that to this? Makes you wonder what event led to it being sidelined. I sound like Mark Worman now.....:D

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

I cant say I recall ever seeing a car in Nocturne blue. I am sure it will look great against white.

I thought about getting it up and going and cruising it around till we had more time to work on it, it was fundamentally solid enough,..and would have been a blast but apparently I have hidden need for shop decorations so I have to tear everything apart so it doesn't even roll then move it around once every two months ha

Is going to make A nice car when you get it finished, I love 4 speed cars. I thought it would have been cool to just drive it the way it was ,but I know you want to fix it right.
