Hi! My name is Jordan and i own my Buick Skylark Custom '70 - nicknamed "lil boat" - since only two weeks. I found it in Virginia, falling in love with this "so seventies" look and colors. It got nice options like 350 - 4 bbl, a/c (working) and power disc brakes. A previous owner added some "period correct" accessories like Super Sport Wheels, Rallye Steering Wheel and Sport mirrors (not available on Custom, right?). The grille comes from a GS and i will like to replace it by an original Custom grill, soon. I come here to share my enthousiasm for this car, my work on it and learn more about the model. I will do a complete maintenance this weekend (engine and trans oil, filters, spark plugs, cooling, brakes...). My engine radiator will be restored by a professionnal. Some seals will be changed. (Do you know a company which sells Service Manual in PDF format ?). You can discover the car in the video below, made for my website SoapCars (www.soapcars.com), dedicated to classic American cars. You will notice i speak a curious language cause i'm French and live near Paris. Have a nice day, Buick addicts !
Welcome to V8buick. Ebay has original Chassis manuals and you can get them on CD ROM. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=1970+Buick+chassis+Manual&_sacat=0
Thank you ! I will order a Chassis Manual CD-ROM on RockAuto (lower shipping prices to France). I was looking for a PDF to purchase because i'm working on the car this weekend. BadBoattail, I'm from Savigny sur Orge, near from Etampes, thats right. I added my location on the map
Salut, je suis francais, j'habite près de San Francisco. Bravo pour ton jouet; j'adore la couleur. Je viens juste d'acheter un 68 Riviera GS. Val
Faxon has been a good resource for me, and I think they have both print and CD-ROM options: https://www.faxonautoliterature.com/1970-Buick-Repair-Shop-Manual-Original-All-Models-P15372.aspx Nice looking Skylark!
Welcome from your North/Eastern neighbor. I can imagine it being very challenging to manouver a 202" long and 77" wide car on the typical narrow streets of France. I hope that all other drivers pay enough attention so that your beauty remains in good shape.
Thank you ! It's not too complicated to drive this car in France, thanks to the magic turning radius and the power(ful) steering!
