I'm changing out the carb/manifold on my skylark to 4 barrel, just need the air cleaner base. Does anyone have one available? Appreciate your help........ Dave
My plan is to install an oem water-choke Rochester (#7024044) carb on an aluminum oem intake (#1359122). I understand I need a special gasket for the carb. I'd like to get the carb refurbished and tuned for my install but I'm not sure where to send it. I'm in the New Orleans area and our local go-to shop got wiped out during Katrina. I've read on another forum (AACA) that a good one is the Daytona Auto Shop in FL. Do you know of any others I should consider, hopefully a shop that speaks "Buick"? I'm not terribly experienced in all this but I think AFB style applies to Carter carbs? Thank you for your help, very much! Dave
Oops, I don't know why I was thinking 65. You have the Rochester with the 4 angular vent tubes. We have a place down here in Florida called American Carburetor that does a real nice job. They replate the steel parts and put put the correct anodizing on the housings. I'm sure those water choke parts aren't easy to come by if they are deteriorated. I have some 64 2 barrel stuff lying around, the coke oven and manifold fitting are the same as the 4 barrel.
