Nice!! Love the Polyglas sneakers. I guess these cars were a thing with the 18 and over crowd. Seven of the first 9 owners of mine were all around that age. I can't imagine driving one of these as a teenager.
All my contact with her has been by email. She thought "Rosewood" was a Riviera only color, which is not the case. But she liked it and it was on the dealer lot. Larke Buick in Hastings,MI. They closed shop around 1978.
I get a text from Slater wanting to know the length of the fuel line hoses along the frame. So I told him I would crawl under my car to check and what I found was hardened and cracking hoses. Does this guy have some kind of psychic thing going on? Thanks Brett, it could have become a problem.
Looking sharp! And running like a sewing machine. You're lucky down there - all it does up here is rain.
I gotta figure out what settings I need on my phone to get sharper video. It's an iPhone 6s if anyone has some tips.
Local cruise-in tonight with probably close to 300 cars. Just one other Buick, a ‘64 Riviera. The car got a good reception and it was a fun time sharing with the kids in the crowd. I was amazed at one 10 year old who knew what my car was and said he read about Stage 1’s in a book he had. He had more knowledge than most of the adults that came by.
I love the 96rock plate! I have one on the garage wall. I used to have the velcro wallet and a rock kard too. Patrick
Anyone who spent time in this area in the 70's, 80's, and 90's knows 96 Rock. There were at least 6-7 cars at the cruise-in with a 96 Rock plate on their car/truck. Best rock 'n roll station ever.
