    Lol "i have a problem"
How many inches is the chop? What kind of engine is in it? What kind of engine do you want in it? Mid 50's studebaker v8s where good motors. Those rides with your dad are priceless.

Only chopped 2 inches and kept the back window the stock size. It has lots of custom metal work. It has a small journal 327 in it with a big cam and camel hump heads. It runs hard but smokes a little now. I have a 425 I would like to put in it.

I think going to tne track 5 to 10 times a year would be worth it. Are you telling me 3 guys lifted the frame and body while attached?

The nailhead would good. The 327 is old school cool and tuff and also look good. I think 2inch chops are ideal and nice on keeping the back window the same. So did you sell the 70 Buick

"You dont want the 442 for yourself? BBO 455? Is it a stick car? Im curious not interested."

    Ronnie,
I do want the car for myself, but I am still trying to come up for air after building the 69 car, and can only keep 4 cars, so one has to go.

You want the specs on the 1970 442?
It's a numbers matching 455 auto convertible, Dark Blue (Viking Blue), White stripes, White Top with a Pearl White bucket seat interior. It has the Ram air hood, with the correct original air cleaner, 70 sport mirrors and Super Sport II wheels, 12 bolt Olds posi, with the F41 suspension. The car has AC, tach & gauges, with the correct sending units, which are like hens teeth, a Hurst Dual Gate shifter, tilt wheel, AMFM, and manual windows. It also has the 4-spoke Rallye Steering wheel, and I have an original wheel with absolutely beautiful grain on it.

The body is now rust free and is ready for body work and paint. I replaced the entire floor pan with braces from front to back, put in a new trunk pan, (both original panels, not repro) and had an NOS quarter put on the passenger side. I bought the car in 1989 and have more parts then you can shake a stick at, including 3 0r 4 original 70 fenders (not 71-72's) and one of them is a 70 442 fender.

A did a quick search on the internet and found this pic. It is what my car would look like when done, with the exception that it is not a W30, so it would have the thinner stripes down the sides, and no rear spoiler or red inner fenders. Same wheels, mirrors, interior, etc.

    How about potential future projects?

My Aunt has 2 early 60's IHC Scouts. In the almost 50 years I have memories of visiting my Aunt and Uncle (he passed away a few years ago) I have never seen the Scouts move from their spot in his shop he operated his business out of. I have hinted around about my interest in them but she is going to let her kids decide what to do with them when she dies. I don't feel very comfortable going up to my cousins and say "by the way, when your mom dies.....".

Of my 6 GS cars, 4 are running driving cars, but always need something to be better. The other 2 are frame off restorations, and the 66 is close to being done, just glass and interior, but lately it is difficult to make headway. The other is a 67 GS conv, that the frame and body are done, and painted but needs drive train and interior and put back together, long term project that stalled. Other running and driving cars include a 76 pace car and a 87 Turbo-T. The other project is a 39 4 door special with ALL Buick hand build parts, 455, Turbo 4oo, Riv rear end, ran in the mid 70's, last on the list. As of know I am open to selling one or all, but it is difficult getting rid of family members.

My current automotive projects are a 81 Camaro with a 500hp 454, it needs suspension work and interior work the engine and paint are done.

I was ready to get the rear suspension done on the Camaro then I found another project of a 70 Skylark 350-2 th350 currently black on black, originally cornet gold. My plans include mild 455 th400 better gears GS or stage 2 hood scoop and N-25 bumper for a cool driver. I am currently collecting parts.

Cars that I like right now are a 69 ranchero, mgb, 82-92 Camaro, pre 84 corvette, t-top 77-81 trans am, 65-72 bop sport wagon, 60-62 Buick special, 73-80 chevy 2wd step side or a couple more. But like I said to my buddy, I couldn't bring home another car right now if my life depended on it.

Yep. Finishing the '70 Burgundy Mist GS455 and then I'll start on the '70 Black GS455 4-speed car, all manual and 3:64 rear. Both require extensive sheet metal repair but are all numbers matching. The black car will be my last... unless...

My project is a 72 skylark custom, i had built for my first car a couple of years ago and drove it as my daily. Then took the car apart to change some things and make it look smoother than it did before and that was about 2-3 years ago

I need to finish my 66 Wildcat GS and go for a ride first before I can start on it.
Sometimes you need to have a motivator to finish things :D
