What carburetor are you using? Can you post a picture of the SP throttle switch you have? I am not familiar enough with how that throttle switch mounts to the intake, a picture may help. If it isn't compatible, there are electronic control boxes that can operate the switch pitch.

On my previous '67 GS I had a SP-1 intake with a 850 Holley carb. I had no issues with the throttle linkage hook-up but didn't have the switch pitch trans anymore so I can't really offer a solution for that. I had a drop base K&N filter assembly for hood clearance. There's no way a star wars a/c will work with that intake if you want to leave your hood on.

I will do that tomorrow Larry

Running an 800cfm quadrajet from quadrajet power that has the correct throttle shaft for the switch pitch hook up.

OK, the problem is the SP1 is 1 1/2" taller than the stock intake. Will your throttle rod snap onto the carburetor ball stud or is there a problem with it not reaching? You can't be the first person who has used an SP1 on a 1967 car. As far as the SP switch, that should work just fine. It appears you will need to fab up a mounting bracket though.

It looks to me like there is no straight line from the pivot point on the acc-pedal side to the carb-ball. I would get a rod, bend with two 90° (almost like a Z) cut the threads on both sides, or get a threaded rod in the first place and bend that one.

This is a pic of that 67 special linkage.
As far as the SP plunger give me some time ill need to find the one on the BBB the 300 looks bit different IIRC.
You are going to have to cut just above the spring cut out add a piece of 1.5 '' flat bar in the cut you just made.
It can be done has been done before. It involves a bit of trial and error....
Would be nice if you could locate another assembly
Member Cole would be my first person to ask.
Give me a call if you need to.

Guys I'm sorry for not getting back to this sooner. I feel a little dumb for not remembering about the threaded rod portion of the linkage. I adjusted it and was able to get it to hook to the carb. I still need to bend the rod to make it fit better. Here's a pic showing it now. Also still need to make a bracket for the switch pitch switch... 20200302_195318.jpg

All buttoned up guys. Thanks again for the assistance/input. Here's a few pictures of the finished product. Made a new extended bracket for the switch pitch switch.
