Any ideas what the BA code means on the overflow hose clip on the radiator? What year? Was on a radiator with CF and IA tanks. Thanks, Nick
The radiator code for a radiator with "CF" & "IA" tanks would not be BA. That code designated the shape of the clip. Other shape clips had different letter codes. Duane
Interesting that they would have different shaped clips. I would think it was a common part. I still can’t figure out if my 3 core (2” thick) radiator with CF and IA tanks is original to my 70 GS 455 or swapped in from a 71 350. I think they both were the SJ code if I read the assembly manual correctly. And I don’t see any other identifying numbers or marks other than an L (Nov date code) and the BA marking on the clip. Radiator tag was missing.
Check the letter code on the radiator that will be the month the radiator was made if it's before your car was built it could be the original radiator
L = November which is great for my January build date. It’s just my front end is a montage of parts with everything else changed. Just doing some digging to see if that hose clip provided any more insight to see if it’s really a 70 or got lucky with a 71 version date code.
Duane, While on the topic of cooling, what's the code that would be stamped on the fan clutch of a non air '70 Stage 1?
