You are used to the 300-340 engines. PCV is in the valve cover. 67 and up 350/455 has it directly into the intake.
Larry, could you find any reasonably priced authentic tri-shield stick-on emblems? The ones you ordered look nice but more modern.
I thought those were perfect. I liked that I could specify the size. The circles in the valve cover are only about 48mm. A lot of the emblems I was finding were too big. They also offered these, https://3dcarstickers.com/search/?searchstring=buick
Not sure. I want to see how thick they are. They say 2-3mm thick, that's substantial. Maybe a high heat epoxy.
Mine came in yesterday....powered coat looks good enough for me. A couple little rub spots from shipping
Put one on my engine today. The stock bolts WITHOUT the spreader work just fine. You can even use a 7/16" Hex headed bolt, plenty of room. No need for the 3/16" allen headed bolts unless you want to use them.
This is what I used https://www.rubbertherightway.com/b...urce=googleBaseFeed&utm_medium=shoppingEngine Although this one is closer in size (may have to trim) https://www.rubbertherightway.com/b...utm_medium=shoppingEngine&utm_campaign=Google
Got them installed today with the TA gaskets. Was a lot of work as I had to remove my spacer plates from the TA heads, and then carefully remove the RTV I used to attach the spacers to the head. I think it looks great.
I'll have to wait and see what I get. I got an e mail they were shipped from Ukraine It might take a while. Fit should not be a problem as I specified 44mm which should fit perfectly with a bit of room to spare. They shipped on the 26th. We'll see how long it takes, but I am not optimistic I'll see these anytime soon.
Larry, They look great! Love the red vs the black. Have you noticed any more valve train resonance from the aluminum covers. That was a minor complaint I had with my Postons. What's the finned part that is brake lined off from your holdoff valve, adj. proportioning valve, or line lock?
Haven't run the engine yet. I was expecting less noise as these covers are thicker. I'll let you know. My lifters are just about silent now.
Duplicolor DE1653. Easy to spray, not so easy to mask I'm going to do the ribs and script with a chrome paint pen.
