I have a 62 Skylark, it very similar. 2 doors 4 tires, Buick emblems. In all seriousness that car and a few others inspired me to get a 62.
That whole car is great looking but that engine is slick! It does give you an idea on what it costs to build all those custom machines that you see on tv and in the magazines and many times even much, much more.
Sometimes those TV shows will talk about how many hours were billed...I saw one the other night that said 3000 hours, which is very believable with the amount of work that was put into them. So 3000 x $80/hr = $240,000 JUST IN LABOR. Some of the cars you see on Kindig's show exceed $5ook. Amazing how much money people will spend on these if you let them.
I agree Adam. I don't watch the "Car build shows" for various reasons. Except I did watch the Bichin Rides "Copper cabby". I would have loved to see the bill on that thing.
copper copper copper! That's still my favorite car that they've done. It helps that I am kind of fanatical about the 60 Cadillac.
Yes they certainly are craftsmen, but surely NOT comedians like they try to be sometimes. Especially Snoopdogs cousin KevDog.
