Making good progress on the 69 wildcat, front sway bar and shorty headers giving me some grief but otherwise coming together nicely. The body shop should have had the body done and painted but all the employees took the governments layoff cheques instead of continuing to work.
Original 430 and trans rebuilt by JW. C/w Stage 1 aluminum ported heads, 4 wheel 14” discs, HD sway bars from PST front and rear, Rear tubular arms from ride tech, custom front tubular arms from “hot rods by dean.

This was a one owner Canadian low option bench seat car with 100,000 +miles and was relatively rust free as the previous owner was a snow bird with property in a Florida.
I really just wanted to freshen the drivetrain then decided to do a colour change and it all went sideways from there. 37403830-7FBB-485B-B97C-CB8490F3CCF9.jpeg

The good ol' while I'm here snowball gets ya every time. I have a fear that when I pull the engine eventually it will happen to me too:p.

Body was on a rotisserie, used the 2 post hoist to lift off. It’s heavy and I have no friends lol 01984641-3AC2-41DC-890B-23EC3B8E804C.jpeg 5BA3E5B4-52DC-4332-95F4-40DB28080967.jpeg

The 69s were one of my favourites, I still miss my old one.

Nice job, I’ve got a 70 Electra that may or may not get this treatment, so Where did you get the shorty headers?

TA performance is the only place to get the shorty headers

I hope it handles good, I have quick ratio steering box, lowering it and am going to put coilovers on it once I get everything bolted back on and weigh the car. Pricing out a Holley sniper EFI

How "it all went sideways" or that "all the employees took the governments layoff cheques instead of continuing to work."

    Or (c): both (a) & (b).

Even funnier; when they were handing out those cheques they quietly changed the rules for eligibility without telling anyone. Now a lot of them will have to pay it back, - before the end of this year.
    Party's over, fellas!

My 70 Electra 4dr was bought from 2nd owner and it has less than 50k on it but it wasn’t stored in the ideal place but held up pretty nice. Never painted, but windows were left down.

Addicting:...... this has got to be the 5th time I’ve looked at this thread and I think, I’m going to lift the body off mine now. So what company’s body bushings are you using?

It’s time to start ordering my parts for the summer adventure.
